Well, the wine is gone now, but he still is raving about this cork puller. When dinner guests ask about it - I get mentioned!
I have used it myself and I have never seen such a smooth cork remover. It does a perfect pull everytime.
After removing the metal on the top of the bottle. Just place the puller over the bottle, move the handle down and the screw slides right into the cork. Move the handle back up and the cork slides right out. Never breaks the cork and you don't end up shaking the wine in the effort to get the cork out.
I don't think that there is a better hand held puller out there. The next step up from this would be to buy a table top mounted version - but then you don't get to open the bottle with your guests.
