(More customer reviews)My daughter gave me a Kirkland Signature Rabbit cork puller last Christmas. I have bragged on this present more than any other - ever. It is very quick to pull a cork and even easier to remove the cork from the screw. I love it! I figure it's already opened nearly 100 bottles of wine and it still works great! Not a single cork pushed into the bottle, left unpulled or broken.
To operate - use the included foil cutter to remove the foil (cutter is adequate - not great). Then lift the handle and place the barrel around the top & neck of your bottle. Hold the barrel snugly with one hand and firmly press the handle all of the way down with the other - in one smooth, continuous motion. Then, continuing to hold the barrel snugly, lift the handle all the way up, again with one smooth, continuous motion. The cork is out! Then - lift the opener away from the bottle, hold the barrel while you push the handle down and back up again. Presto - the cork is removed from the corkscrew. With a little practice - this takes less than 5 seconds to pull the cork AND then remove it from the corkscrew.
All rabbits are not the same! I had purchased a different brand of rabbit (all chrome) last Christmas as a stocking stuffer for me - as I didn't think I was getting one. So the chrome rabbit went to my vacation cabin where it only opened 10-20 bottles. It was good at best - awful at worst. 2 of the last 3 corks that I tried to pull ended up pushed into the bottle. That chrome rabbit is now in the trash - as I just bought a second Kirkland Rabbit for my vacation cabin! And - the price was so good that I also bought two for gifts for my grown children.
