I have had one of these Two Prong Cork Pullers for almost 20 years. The brilliance is in the simplicity: You just put a blade on each side of the cork and rock them back and forth as you push them down around the cork. Then you simply twist slowly but firmly as you pull the cork out.
I've never had a cork not come out with this and I've never had one break or crumble. The cork comes out in one piece with no holes. At most you might see a pinch line in the side where the blade was pushed against it.
The only caveate about this type of wine puller is that you have to have two because one that is sized for US, Australian, South American, etc. wine bottles will not fit bottles from France and vice versa because the inner diameter is different. Do not try to force the wrong type or you can chip the glass.
Other than that caveate - which is a pretty small thing considering how cheap these are - these type of wine pullers are just about perfect.
Always trim the foil and/or any wax before using any puller and enjoy your wine!
